ARMED STREET ROBBERIES

Landfair Ave/Roebling Ave. (RD: 0838). On 5/16/17, at 1:10 AM, Victims 1 and 2 entered an apartment courtyard when they were approached from behind by an armed suspect. Victim-2 ran out of the courtyard on foot while the suspect pointed a handgun at Victim-1 demanding his property. Victim-1 fearing for his safety complied and the suspect removed the victim's property. The suspect ran to a waiting 4 door Silver Sedan which drove south on Landfair Ave towards Gayley Ave.

Suspect: Male, Black, shaved head, 6'2", 240 Lbs. Mid 30's, wearing a gray hoodie.  Vehicle: Silver, 4 Door Sedan.

11400 block Bolas St. (RD: 0814). On 5/14/17, at 12:55 AM, the residents were returning home and parked at the curb to remove items from their vehicle. A Red vehicle stopped next to the victim's vehicle and a suspect exited the vehicle armed with a handgun pointing it at Victim-1. The suspect began to remove property from the victim and then struck the victim in the face with the gun. In fear for his life, the victim handed over his property. Victim-2 ran to the side of the residence and the suspect followed her and demanded her jewelry. Victim-2 fearing for her safety complied. The suspect then ran to the waiting vehicle and fled eastbound Bolas towards Church Lane. 

Suspect: Male, Black, Medium Build, Approximately 20 Years Old, wearing dark clothing.  Vehicle: Red, No further description.

Whenever possible, always remain aware of your surroundings whether walking or driving. If you believe you are being followed, attempt to remain in well lit, populated areas. Make note of safe locations within your vicinity (Police Stations, Fire Stations, 24 hour drive up locations such as Hotels, etc.). You may also call 911 while driving to report that you are being followed and you believe that you are being targeted for a crime.

Follow your instincts. If you feel you are in danger, respond immediately. Remember that your personal safety is the first priority.
