SoCalGas Company to begin Hydrotesting August 7th

BAA has updated information on the planned hydrostatic pressure testing and gas pipe replacement project.

Beginning August 7th through December 29th, the Southern California Gas Company will be performing a hydrostatic pressure testing and gas pipe replacement along Sepulveda Boulevard, between Church Lane  (south of Sunset) to Casiano.  The project will consist of phases.

As expected, there will be traffic impact for Bel-Air residents.  There will be signage and restricted access to residents in certain areas of Bellagio Road.

Hours of project work, including Saturday night work on Sepulveda will be in the following phases:

Monday - Friday — 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Phase 4 – Church Lane Rd intersection: the Saturday night work is from 10:00PM to 6:00 AM

Phase 6 – North of Moraga: the Saturday night work is from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM

Phase 7 to 9 – North of Moraga to Casiano: The Saturday night work from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM

The Bel-Air Association and local residents have met with SoCalGas Co and CD5’s Gurmet Khara to help minimize the impact on not only the traffic but also the trees that will be affected by the project.
