Sixty-three LAFD firefighters respond to house fire on Portofino Place

Monday night 63 firefighters from what appears to be 8 fire stations responded to a house fire on Portofino Place.  There were no reported injuries and the homeowners were unharmed.  The fire that consumed a bedroom and bathroom was extinguished in 21 minutes.  This is the second house fire in the Bel-Air community; a Bellagio Road home was destroyed on February 8th, that injured 2 firefighters and, of course, the Skirball Fire that injured 3 firefighters, burned 422 acres, destroyed 6 structures and damaged 12 homes.

The BAA is very grateful to LAFD and the large response especially since winds were due to pick up velocity that evening.  Most importantly, we are glad the homeowners and their family is safe and unhurt.
