Marcia Hobbs is President and Publisher of the BEVERLY HILLS COURIER. Marcia has served on many charity boards and currently serves on the Los Angeles Children's Hospital, the Children's Institute, St. John's Hospital, and President of the PetCare Foundation. She was the president of the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association for ten years. She has been a member of the Bel Air Garden Club for over 25 years. She has served over 15 years as president for the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. She has lived in Bel Air since she was born, raised her three sons in Bel Air, and has seen too many changes.
Dan Love is a retired Senior Managing Partner and Global Director of Ernst & Young LLP. He serves on the BOD of the Bel Air Homeowners Alliance and is the Treasurer. Dan is currently a Board Member on the Bel-Air/Beverly Crest Neighborhood Council. Most recently, Dan has been involved with real estate development through his company, Perranporths LLC. He is a member of the Bel-Air Country Club, the Jonathan Club, World Presidents Organization, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of CPAs. Dan lives in Bel-Air at his residence on Stone Canyon Road.
Rocky Barber is Senior Vice President and Head of Equities for RNC Genter Capital Management and he runs their Dividend Income mutual fund and strategy. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Previously he lived in Chicago for 30 years where he was the managing partner of William Blair’s Investment Management Group and founder of the William Blair Mutual Funds Inc. He has lived in three different houses in West Bel Air since 2005. In 2013 he married Nancy Revy, a long time Bel-Air resident. They each have two grown children. He is an active alumnus of Stanford where he played NCAA soccer and currently serves on Stanford Athletics Board. He has also served on many fund raising and Capital Campaign committees for his alma mater, as well as on committees that supported the work of the YMCA (Chicago), Boy Scouts and the Investment Analyst Society. Rocky continues to bike, swim and play tennis and soccer regularly
Jamie Meyer is a retired certified family law attorney. Jamie currently serves on the Southern California Regional Board of UNICEF and is a member of the Bel-Air Garden Club. She has lived in Bel-Air for over 40 years and has headed our community Wildlife Watch Program since 2010. Jamie is married to Charles Meyer (Chuck). They have a daughter, Lucy, who is in 11th grade and is currently the first and only National Spokesperson for the Special Olympics—US Fund for UNICEF Partnership.
James Hyman is CEO and Chairman of Hyman Inc. Companies. Born in Los Angeles, and a graduate of Princeton University, he has lived in Bel Air since 1994. He has been married for 17 years, and has twin boys that attend Harvard Westlake. He has served on many charity boards, and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Wilshire Blvd Temple. Community affiliations include the Hammer Museum, MOCA, The Peterson Automotive Museum, The Jonathan Club, and Hillcrest.
Felicia Ferrari Hedley has lived in the Bel-Air community for over 25 years with her husband and their two children. Felicia has been on both The John Thomas Dye Parent Board and the Harvard-Westlake Parent Board throughout the years her children attended, and remains active at Harvard-Westlake helping students explore career options through mentoring and internship opportunities. She graduated from UCSB with a degree in Business Economics and established her career as a Business Strategist and Finance professional at Xerox Corporation. Felicia supported numerous charities and worked on homeless encampments with the City of Los Angeles in the Rampart Division. She is trained and certified as a Los Angeles area first responder at UCLA.
Gail Sroloff is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was an intercollegiate athlete and majored in Exercise Science. She is a founding faculty member of Milken Community High School and started and directed the Athletic and Physical Education Departments until her retirement six years ago. Since her retirement, Gail has been active as a mentor in the Fulfillment Fund and as an ambassador for the non-profit Canine Companions for Independence. Gail has lived in Bel-Air with her husband Shelly for 9 years and has served on the BAA Board as Co-Chair of the Membership Committee and Social Outreach. She desires to remain on the board to help maintain the beauty, safety and tranquility of our Bel Air Community.
Dr Goodman has lived in the area for 33 years. Finishing with Honors at UCLA, he organized a BasicEmergencyCare course and served on Ethics, PatientSafety, and Risk Management Committees. A Diplomat of the Board of Internal Medicine, he's practiced medicine for 22 years, teaching UCLA medical students as an Assistant Clinical Professor. Since 2016, he's Chaired the BelAirAssociation's Emergency Preparedness/Neighborhood Watch where he updated the BAA’s communications during the Skirball Fire; works with the Council Office, LAPD and LAFD; organizes and leads BAA EmergencyPreparedness public meetings; integrated BAA’s emergency preparedness with the Neighborhood Council's; and has helped in establishing an emergency communication network and evacuation grid with block by block team captains. LAFD CERT trained, he also completed the highest level of Community PoliceAcademy and serves on the Community Police AdvisoryBoard. He sits on the Board of the Wine Education Council and with other philanthropy, has Chaired LACMA's AmericanArtCouncil.
Beatriz Horacek (Bibi) is a retired Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance professional. She worked in the banking industry for nearly 25 years. Bibi was the Vice President BSA Risk Manager for City National Bank in Los Angeles and the Vice President BSA Officer for a subsidiary of Citigroup New York. She is a member of the Bel Air Garden Club. Bibi is married to Joseph Horacek III (Joe) who was the founding partner and chair of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips LLP motion picture and television department. Bibi and Joe are longtime residents of Bel-Air. They have been active with both the Bel-Air Association and the Bel Air Homeowners Alliance to protect the safety of Bel-Air residents by advocating responsible land use development in the community.
