Update on LADWP project on Glenroy, Ashdale & Cascada

Photo depicting bad underground cable

DWP is currently replacing over two-miles of underground power-cables along Glenroy, Ashdale & Cascada.

The existing power-cables date to the 1960’s. Temporary power lines have been hung to ensure consistent power is maintained to the surrounding homes/streets, and will be removed once the project is completed.

Unfortunately, since temporary lines were planned, and no outages were anticipated, LADWP did not notify the community or surrounding homeowners of the scheduled work.

LADWP estimates the completion of the project to be in approx.. 3-4 weeks. We will continue giving updates as more information comes available. LADWP has asked that any questions or concerns should be directed to (213) 367-6045 or email powerprojects@ladwp.com.
