Sepulveda Transit Corridor Update

To the Bel-Air Community
Update from our BAA Metro committee chair Fred Rosen:

I wanted to update all of you on our discussions with UCLA. We have met with Michael Beck (UCLA Vice Chancellor) and some of his staff. We have had quite a number of constructive discussions on this project--marked by good will on both sides. The conversations have been engaging, candid and forthright. Each of us have explained our positions and our goals--and we are both looking for a solution that satisfies our respective constituencies.

As a result of those discussions, UCLA sent another letter to Metro which is attached--which gives Metro more options to choose from if it can solve UCLA's concerns. We are both concerned over the cost of the project--which will clearly reduce the options available and could lead to no solution and no project.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reply directly to this email or reach out to me through the Bel-Air Association at 310-474-3527.
