Fireworks in the hillsides are illegal yet with many short-term rentals and party houses, the message is not taken seriously.  

Fireworks in the hillsides is a 911 call, however, because the 911 dispatchers may become overwhelmed with calls, LAPD has a new fireworks online reporting alternative.  The link is below.
