On Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at approximately 11:00 AM, a fire caused by a welding torch at 913 Beverly Glen Boulevard ignited brush that was topography-driven and threatened homes on Bel-Air Road.  Approximately 2 acres were burned before firefighters from LAFD and LA County Fire Department pulled resources together and knocked down the fire.  There was a helicopter water drop required to battle the blaze.  There were no evacuations required but Bel-Air Road was closed for several hours.
