Party House Regulation Ordinance Update: Approved by the Public Safety Committee - next stop PLUM

This week the Public Safety Committee passed the draft Party House Regulation Ordinance that allows for greater enforcement of so-called “Party Houses,”

The regulation motion was presented last November by CD4’s David Ryu and seconded by CD5’s Paul Koretz, and was unanimously approved by City Council.  The motion instructs the City Attorney, in coordination with LAPD, to draft an ordinance regulating “Party Houses.”

The next step is a vote for the draft ordinance by the Planning and Land Use Management Committee (“PLUM”), and then on to City Council.
