Short term rentals (Airbnb) update: Planning and Land Use Management Committee instructs Department of City Planning staff to report back on options

Last Tuesday, the Planning and Land Use Management Committee (PLUM) listened to a staff report from the Department of City Planning (DCP), community impact statements, and public testimony but held off voting on the plan, asking the DCP, with the assistance of the Chief Legislative Analyst and City Administrative Officer to report back on options for a Standardized Platform Agreement, and feasibility of an opt-out provision for landlords and various policy considerations.
