Overwhelming Interest in Emergency Preparedness

Margaret Vinci of Cal Tech’s Seismological Laboratory speaks at Wednesday night’s BAA Emergency Preparedness Meeting.

This past Wednesday evening, John Thomas Dye School hosted the Bel-Air Association’s Emergency Preparedness meeting for nearly a 150 interested residents. Both LAPD and LAFD officials were on hand to give updates on the Woosley Fire, along with a presentation on earthquake preparedness from Cal Tech Seismology Laboratory Guest Speaker Margaret Vinci.

We want to thank our local Police and Fire Departments for continuing to do such a great job, and JTD for being a terrific host.
