Got fruit trees on your property? Food Forward collects surplus produce for people in need

Founded in 2009, Food Forward fights hunger and prevents food waste by rescuing fresh surplus produce, connecting this abundance with people in need and inspiring others to do the same. Food Forward staff and volunteers recover 375,000 pounds of fruits and vegetables each week from fruit trees, farmers markets, and the Los Angeles Wholesale Produce Market. This nutritious food is donated to hunger relief agencies across Southern California.
