Voter confusion during Tuesday’s Election

Tuesday’s election found many Bel-Air residents in a state of confusion as to their polling place location.  Those residents who for years voted at a location on Stone Canyon and who received their mailed ballots indicating that location were at a loss after finding themselves at a location that was no longer a polling place.  The BAA office received many calls and had to use the polling place locator website to help direct residents to the correct polling locations.  Compounding the issue, residents then discovered they were not on the roster at the new polling locations.

News sources later reported that 118,522 voters were omitted from the roster that poll workers use to check-in voters at their polling place; a glitch that County officials attributed to a printing error.
