Fire season is year-round -- are you prepared?
With the recent Cranston Fire and the Carr Fire near Redding where two lives were lost since it began, it is a good time to re-check how prepared we are in case we must evacuate. The Street Safety Committee recommends residents consider purchasing high-quality pool pumps in case, as we have learned from our own recent fires in the hillsides, water may not be available for the firefighters or to do a quick wet-down of our properties.
