A Message from BAA's Emergency Preparedness Committee

Thank you again to our firefighters and first responders for keeping us safe.

For those who are BAA Block Captains, we are pleased some of you already had success with your radios, and, for those Captains, we will attempt to organize another drill for late November before Thanksgiving. Additionally, a map will also be sent out this week with those other Block Captains with whom you were able to communicate during our prior drill (which we hope to replicate).

For those of you who are not BAA Block Captains, this last incident is an example of why communication would be reassuring and important, and we encourage you to explore membership with the Association, and volunteering to be a Captain. Should you be in an area that doesn't have one in place, we will supply you a radio and connect you to our network; if there is one who volunteered before you who has a radio, we will likely be able to designate you an alternate and introduce you to your existing Captain.

Stay safe.

Best,

Mark Goodman, M.D.
