November 6th marked anniversary of the 1961 Bel-Air Fire that destroyed over 500 homes

As the BAA continues to work to improve our safety and communications, on this historic date we wanted to share history with you and show you the draft of our progress in improving communication within Bel-Air.

Below is a link to a video of the 1961 Bel-Air Fire.  Should you choose to watch it, you will hear commentary about issues with the breakdown of communication and fire resources.

Our network of Block Captains and this type of radio network have never been done in this terrain, yet we have made great progress. This draft displays with whom each Block Captains was able to communicate during the drill the BAA conducted a few weeks ago.

If you are able to support our efforts, or participate with us, we welcome it.

We are all one community and stand together.
