Scheduled LADWP Power Outage for areas in Bel-Air rescheduled for next week

The scheduled electricity outage tomorrow by the LADWP has been canceled.

With little notice, LADWP had scheduled an electrical repair that would require a 8 AM to 3 PM electrical power outage.  Both the Association and Fred Rosen from the Alliance expressed concern with the daytime power outage and the little notice to the community.

LADWP decided to move the power outage to midnight to 5 AM to better accommodate the neighborhood.  However, upon further consideration, LADWP has decided to move the repair and power outage to a date and time uncertain in the next week or so. This will allow better advance notice and preparation for the community.

While frustrating, this incident has lead to Mr. Rosen to connect with DWP leadership and Commission in an effort to minimize the continued lack of coordination with the community and City Departments alike.

Again, there will be no scheduled power outage this week.
