Drones spotted on Stone Canyon Road

There have been reports of drones — or unmanned aviation vehicles (“UAV”) — flying around Stone Canyon Road this past week.  The Bel-Air Association reminds residents to be aware of three laws in the State of California that pertain to the use of drones.

One of these laws prohibits entering the airspace of an individual in order to capture an image or recording of that individual engaging in a private, personal or familial activity without permission. This legislation is a response to the use of UAV (drone) by the press in covering celebrities and other public figures.

If residents want to report a drone, please do so by calling LAPD.
