Two fires in Bel-Air this week

Monday, June 8, 2020 - 900 block of Stradella/944 Airole Way

The 944 Airole Way property’s soil nails netting, which firefighters called a burlap material, caught fire which resulted in a fire on the hillside affecting the 900 block of Stradella.. Alert neighbors spotted the fire and called 911. LAFD responded quickly. There were no evacuations and no reported injuries. As of today, LAPD stated the cause of fire was undetermined.

June 10, 2020 - the “Sepulveda Fire” scorches 50 acres with two firefighter injuries

Early morning fire erupted in the 1300 block of Sepulveda Boulevard causing a massive response from LAFD, LAPD and CalTrans, among other agencies. Two firefighters were injured. The cause of the blaze is still under investigations. The Bel-Air Association wishes a speedy recovery to the injured firefighters.
