Councilmember Koretz steps up for Bel-Air community
Councilmember Paul Koretz sent a strong letter to City Attorney Feuer urging him and his office to not support Mr. Hadid being released from Probation. Koretz correctly identified Hadid’s tactics in stalling the demolition, and expressed support in seeing him remain on the hook for his crimes.

City Attorney Supports Releasing Hadid from Probation Despite Non-Compliance
We urge you to e-mail City Attorney Mike Feuer and Councilman Koretz TODAY and demand that Mohamed Hadid’s criminal probation not be allowed to expire on July 20, 2020. Only the City Attorney can ask the criminal court to hold Hadid responsible for his acts.
Hadid was sentenced to a 36-month term of probation after pleading “No Contest” to Criminal Charges involving his 901 Strada Vecchia property. As a condition of his probation, Hadid was required to either bring the illegal structure into compliance, or demolish the structure and stabilize the slope. Hadid has done neither, yet the City Attorney’s Office falsely told the court that Mohamed Hadid was in compliance with the terms of his probation.
We cannot allow Mr. Hadid to be released from his probation until he fulfills the Judge’s order. Yet our City Attorney appears to be supporting Mr. Hadid. Please e-mail LA City Attorney Mike Feuer at Mike.feuer@lacity.org and Councilman Paul Koretz at paul.koretz@lacity.org and ask them to act today.
