A message from the BAA Wildlife Watch Committee regarding coyotes - mark your calendars for April 27th!
Dear Neighbors,
In the past few months, there have been many concerns about how to safely co-exist with wildlife, primarily coyotes, in our community. After considerable research, we have reached an agreement with the City of Los Angeles to partner with them in implementing a Wildlife Watch Program in our area.
This program is modeled after the Neighborhood Watch Program, and according to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, is the most effective means of limiting negative human and wildlife interactions. This program joins together local city agencies, wildlife conservation organizations, and community groups to integrate a wildlife management plan specific to our community needs. In the meantime, on April 27th from 6-7:30 PM via Zoom, there is an important educational session on coyotes in our neighborhood. LA Animal Services wildlife specialists will share information on deterrents and how to keep your pets safe. If you are interested in attending, please email Jamie at jamiemeyer1313@gmail.com.

Please remember it is very important every time you see a coyote to make a loud noise or other scare tactic. You cannot simply ignore the coyote in your backyard.
Repeat visits by a coyote in your area are often due to food attractants. Be sure to locate and remove the food source.
