BUR NEW EXPANDED TERMINAL APPROVED BY FAA
Burbank Airport's New Terminal expansion is moving forward and will increase already debilitating impacts on our community! Furthermore, the FAA admits that they are building the New Terminal on an UNSAFE airfield, stating that although unsafe airfield conditions exist, they are beyond the scope of the New Terminal project. This is unconscionable!

CITY OF LA MUST RESPOND
We ask that the City of Los Angeles step up immediately to protect Los Angeles residents by opposing BUR's New Terminal, starting with whatever mechanism necessary to either delay or place the process on hold. In the 1980s, the City of LA brought a lawsuit opposing BUR expansion and it delayed construction for decades. LA must do that again!
YOU CAN HELP!
EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Our community must let the Los Angeles City Council know that we want them to protect their residents from BUR growth by taking timely legal action as they did in the 1980s. We don't want more jets and larger jets that the New Terminal will bring! Furthermore, the unsafe airfield conditions that are NOT addressed by the New Terminal project impact Los Angeles city streets.

MISSION

UproarLA's mission is, and always has been, to sue against the "proposed" BUR procedures becoming permanent, which can’t happen till the paths publish. The funds raised are not enough to take on this possible suit as well as the Burbank expanded terminal. We know firsthand how devastating these paths are to our community and appreciate everyone's time, effort and energy toward this fight. We understand there is frustration around how long this process has played out, and share in that collective frustration as a team of volunteers that has spent the last few years and countless hours fighting this issue. We have always known that a combination of pressure from our community, our representatives, and a lawsuit would be needed to win this.

Regardless of the Task Force’s recommendations and the City's suit against the FAA, the FAA can still try and move forward with those procedures. UproarLA and our lawyers have been laying the legal groundwork for our potential case in this lawsuit over the past few years, which would be once the EA is complete and the paths are published. While the FAA continues to lack requested transparency around its EA and publishing date, now that the Task Force recommendations are in and the FAA response has been filed, we continue to expect the publishing date to be shared soon. As we have additional news on the timing of this, we will continue to share these updates with the community on our next steps.
