Party House Danger: LAFD has an approximate 10-minute delay to respond to a Roscomare Road emergency

An all-night party was held on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the notorious 10979 Chalon Road property. LAPD responded at 11:54 PM, however, the party escalated after LAPD left the scene.

At 3:23 AM, LAFD Station 37 responded to an emergency call for a Roscomare Road address but was delayed for nearly 10 minutes due to traffic congestion of party goers at the intersection of Bellagio Road and Chalon Road; the intersection in front of the 10979 Chalon Road property.

This incident warrants concern on impacts of these so-called “single family dwellings” that are being leased out as party houses and event facilities in residential hillsides. Most of the hillside roads are substandard with one-way ingress and egress.

A horrifying thought but if the emergency call was indeed a life-or-death situation or involving a fire, a 10-minute emergency response delay would have a devastating result.

The Bel-Air Association is speaking with authorities about the impacts of party houses, and appropriate and meaningful penalties. Please contact the Bel-Air Association office to see how you can help.

The BAA has posted a couple of videos that depict the 3:30 AM obstruction of LAFD response trucks on early Friday morning, June 18, 2021.

The 10979 Chalon property is owned by developer Donald Brolin, who leases the property out to wish.com.
