Disgraced 901 Strada Vecchia’s developer, Mohamed Hadid, filed for bankruptcy protection for two of his shell companies -- but still has judgement against him

The website Hillsides Against Hadid posted a Debtor's Exam Deposition of Mohamed Hadid taken on April 2, 2021. Hadid claims to have zero income in the past two years, zero assets of any kind held in his name in the United States, that he does not own a car or a bank account in the US, and he claims not to own any real estate or tangible assets in the US. He claims that he stays at one of his daughter's "compounds" when he comes to LA and mainly lives in Egypt in an apartment that Hassan Morshedy pays for and claims that he has a card that he uses to withdraw "spending money" that Morshedy provides him with. In September 2020, Give Back LLC sued Hadid to enforce a personal guaranty that Hadid had previously given to secure a $25 million dollars loan. Hadid also pledged titled to all the land his related shell entities owned in Franking Canyon Park as collateral. Hadid (and his shell entities) defaulted on the loan. Last January, two of Hadid's shell entities that own land inside Franklin Canyon Park (i.e., Coldwater Development, LLC and Lyda Ludd, LLC) filed for Bankruptcy protection (just like he did with 901 Strada Vecchia). On May 5, 2021, Judge Hon. Elain Mandel entered judgement against Hadid in favor of Give Back LLC the amount of $26,387,498.

"I have almost 30 years of experience in this area. Any lender would be behind these judgment liens on any new loan to Mr. Hadid. The only bad information as far as the credit world is concerned is Mr. Hadid’s double decades of judgments that are unpaid. $44,000,000 is one of the largest collections of unpaid judgments I have ever seen. He lacks any credit worthiness."
