AIRPORT NOISE: Virtual Briefing on the Proposed FAA Redesign of VNY Departure Procedures

Last week, City Attorney Mike Feuer announced that the City will sue the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), pushing for a proper environmental review process and consideration of constituent concerns for Burbank Airport’s replacement terminal project.

Councilmembers Koretz and Krekorian are demanding the implementation of effective and fair solutions to flight patterns from Burbank and for Van Nuys Airports causing excessive noise burdens for Valley and Santa Monica Mountain residents.

The reality that the City has no regulatory authority for air traffic and noise. Residents are urged to call Federal representatives to bring relief to our communities.

Please see the information below regarding the August 9th FAA presentation on a redesign of the VNY departure procedures.

You are invited to a virtual briefing by the FAA on the proposed redesign of Van Nuys Airport departure procedures hosted by Los Angeles World Airports.
