Proposed Ridgeline Ordinance and how it may affect Bel-Air

Los Angeles City Planning has released a Draft Ordinance aimed at protecting/preserving the City’s ridgelines. Many in the community are concerned the proposal is too restrictive and lacks clarity in several important areas, including the replacement of damaged homes. These concerns are valid, which is why the Association is working with the Neighborhood Council and Planning Department to address these issues.

Currently, the public comment period has been extended to Monday August 2nd, and there will be further opportunities for public input should the process move forward.  Please submit comments and questions to Planning.Ridgelines@lacity.org.   As always, feel free to call or email us if you have any questions. Additionally, please consider copying us if you decide to send any letters or emails to the City. This will help us as we work with the City and other organizations to address all concerns.
