Call to Action: Stop State Senate Bills 9 and 10
The Bel-Air Association has joined with community groups throughout California to stop State Senate Bills 9 & 10.
These two proposals force all single-family communities in the entire state to accept multi-family housing. With no exemptions for areas designated as Hillside or High Fire Severity zones, Bel-Air and other hillside communities are prime targets for an explosion of this multi-family requirement.
Versions of these bills seem to be introduced and defeated yearly. However, this year the State Senate and Assembly seem poised to pass it.
We will continue to educate our elected officials and fight for housing that doesn’t place our community at risk.
