A Win for AB 1322!
Rodenticide Bill AB 1322 just cleared its biggest hurdle to date. Today, the bill was pulled out of Suspense and passed the CA Senate Appropriations Committee with a vote of 5-2. This accomplishment could not have happened without you, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We heard from so many of you who are concerned with the problem of rodenticide and reached out to legislators to make your voice heard. The pest control industry staged tough opposition to this bill, and passing Senate Appropriations was not a sure thing. But your words rang louder and more passionately, and today we celebrate a victory of the people, and for the animals!
Only two steps remain in passing AB 1322: A full senate vote and a signature from Governor Newsom. The final vote on the Senate floor will take place soon, as this year's legislative session ends on September 14. Let's ride our positive momentum to the finish line together!
Please contact your state senator (you can find yours here) and ask them to vote YES on AB 1322 so we can stop poisoning California's wildlife with dangerous diphacinone!
