TIGGER ID# A2055816
URGENT: Will be euthanized if not fostered or adopted by Monday, October 31.
Tigger is a gorgeous 8-month-old male ginger cat, and a staff favorite. He is affectionate and loves to be held. He wants to be around people all the time! He came into the shelter with a leg fracture and will be euthanized for “medical” reasons unless fostered or adopted by someone who will provide veterinary treatment for his leg. Financial assistance may be available under the STAR program for a rescue group who will take him on. A private donor also may be willing to assist with the cost of treatment if needed, if someone offering a good home will step forward to foster or adopt Tigger. He may be euthanized sooner than Monday if his condition declines. Someone come rescue this beautiful young boy and give him the loving home and long life he deserves!
XIAO BAO ID# A1793355
URGENT: Will be euthanized if not fostered or adopted by Thursday, November 3.
Xiao Bao is an extremely gentle 9-year-old, 91 lb Lab Retriever mix who was surrendered on 10/19/22 because of “Landlord.” The shelter volunteers report that for the first few days, this shy, calm girl hid in her cubby, looking incredibly sad. She wouldn’t even come out for treats.
When they had the chance to take her out, they found she was VERY easy to handle! She was completely non-reactive as she passed other kennels full of barking dogs and didn’t even pull on the leash.
In the yard, Xiao Bao did her business right away, so they suspect she's housebroken. She walked at a nice pace and then would sit and take breaks. She was happy to be petted all over, but seemed distracted and spent a lot of time looking through the fence. It seemed as though she was looking for her family, which was heartbreaking.
According to medical records, Xiao first came into the shelter on 7/7/18 as a stray. She was a healthy 64 lbs, but was injured and limping on her right hind leg. She was adopted two days later, and her new owner was advised to bring her to a private vet for further evaluation and treatment.
It’s hard to know if she ever got the vet care she needed, because when she was surrendered on 10/19, she was still limping on her right hind leg and now has severe muscle atrophy. Despite this, she can still walk fine and has good quality of life. Do you have a loving home for a gorgeous, mellow Lab? If so, please come save this beautiful girl asap!
