Bel-Air Association Member Testimonials
From Paul and Luci Stupin (Bel-Air Association Member)
“Thought you'd be interested to know that we've obtained a preliminary injunction against the party house. And its a good one. A big thanks to the donors who actually contributed, to those who supplied information, photos and personal experiences that helped with the case, and to everyone that believed our corner of Bel Air was worth defending.
FYI, this would not have been possible without the support of the Bel Air Association. They too contributed, steered us toward the best lawyer, and were as invested in the cause as we were every step of the way. The whole process is a great example of the good stuff we can pull off when the community comes together. If you're not a member, please consider joining.
Attached is a copy of the injunction, should you wish to read it.”

“I want to express my gratitude to Jamie Meyer and Jonathan Silver from the BAA.
When we had a huge issue on Somma Way, after the heavy rains and mudslides, these guys were right on top of this mess.
Jamie contacted the Department of Sanitation and LADWP and local City and Council people. They walked the hillside, contacted residents on Somma Way and got to the bottom of the issue but more importantly got the problem fixed.
These results in the short time they were on this are really mind blowing and these people and the BAA need to be congratulated. That is why ALL Bel Air residents need to stick together and be a part of this powerful Association.
I also want to thank Fred Rosen for his tireless effort to also improve everyone’s life in the Bel Air neighborhood. I am sure you all have seen his multiple letters that he has written regarding Metro and countless other issues.
We probably have the strongest team that has ever been assembled as far as the Bel Air Association goes.
I urge you to become a member and to use this organization.”

“On behalf of my husband and I, we are sending a letter of recommendation and praise to the Bel Air Association and its many helpful jobs they address- most recently pertaining to the city, communication and getting the job done. They have, and continue to, work on behalf of all of the residents in Bel Air.
In particular, we recently had a circumstance that resulted in a mudslide on our street, as well as clogged drains and grates from the heavy rains. So in preparation for upcoming weather conditions, Jamie Meyer, Jonathan Silver and Fred Rosen have been exceptionally steadfast in motivating the city to fix not only any current damage, but also fix any potential concerns that would most definitely arise should more severe weather conditions occur.
There are many things the BAA does on behalf of all of Bel Air, and we can’t say enough how much we appreciate all of their efforts on our behalf.
Thank you so much.”

"As my father used to say there are some people that are simply ‘the bestest and mostest!' and those words fit BAA BOD members Jonathan Silver, Jaye Rogovin and Jamie Meyer!
We live on Stone Canyon Road and during the recent heavy rains our home withstood substantial water damage to our basement, garage, maid’s room, and office. Turns out though that the cause of the damage was actually the result of the willful negligence of our uphill neighbor who had filled their massive main swale drains with sediment and gravel. The result of this negligence is that our home was inundated with all the rain drainage of the canyon hillside .......all the way from Bel Air Road to the Stone Canyon pavement! When I requested the developer owner to open the swale drains the owner rep hung up on me! Wow! Jaye Rogovin, BAA Chairperson, responded immediately to my plea for help and the BAA BOD team of Jonathan and Jamie swung into immediate action! Jonathan was at our home on the same day and used his leverage to get the negligent neighbor owner to clear his swale drains within two days of Jonathan's calls. Even better...... Jonathan and Jamie "supervised" the neighbor's remedial work to make sure that the danger to our home would be eliminated.
Thank you to all our neighbors at the BAA both for your prompt attention
and support and also using your clout to get this remedial work completed before our next onslaught of rain. There is another old saying that "You don't know you need help and support until you do!". The BAA was there for us when needed....... thank you so much! And, moreover, if you have not joined the BAA you should and right away!”
