Stone Canyon Reservoir NO TRESPASSING to be strictly enforced by LADWP

MESSAGE FROM LADWP TO THE BEL-AIR COMMUNITY

Dear Neighbors:

It has come to our attention that trespassers have been entering LADWP’s Stone Canyon Reservoir property. This facility is located off Mulholland Drive and consists of two sections of water: Upper Stone Canyon Reservoir and Lower Stone Canyon Reservoir. While there are gates and fencing surrounding the facility, people have been known to hike down the canyon and swim in Lower Stone Canyon Reservoir.

We need your help to deter this activity. Lower Stone Canyon is an uncovered body of water that is used for emergency drinking water storage and supplies for wildfire suppression. Trespassers pose a serious risk to access, equipment, and operations of this critical facility. In addition, there are personal hazards such as slips, trips, and falls in rough terrain; wildlife presence such as rattlesnakes; and drowning.

LADWP will be installing No Trespassing signs, and the No Trespassing law will be strictly enforced.

Please help us spread the word and share this info with your friends and community. If you witness any trespassing activities, please call LADWP Security at (213) 367-9114.
