The recent Los Angeles County Assessor newsletter has been published and here are some highlights:

• Supplemental Tax Bills

- Supplemental tax bills are mailed directly to the property owner

• There are two main instances your property may be reassessed

- When there is a change in ownership of the property

• New paperless e-notification coming soon!

Supplemental tax bills: Through the years, property owners have had questions about the supplemental tax bill, that bill that suddenly appears with an additional tax.

For more information on whether you can expect to receive a supplemental tax bill, and for an estimate of what you can expect to pay, please visit the Assessor’s Supplemental Tax Estimator webpage, which contains a calculator tool that can help answer those questions.
