West LA LAPD respond to prowler at 1200 block of Casiano Road

On August 11, 2022, around midnight, LAPD responded to multiple reports of a “hot prowl”on Casiano Road. Officers responded to one home where two teenagers locked themselves in a safe room after they heard and saw the suspect attempting to force open their front door. While officers were clearing the homes, additional responding officers located an individual matching the suspects description. According to police, because the suspect never made access into the homes or stole any property, he was simply given a trespass warning and released. Its unclear what the suspects motive was. LAPD West LA division is handling the investigation.
