Recent Power Outages

 Dear Bel-Air Community,
The frequency and duration of recent power outages have become increasingly worrisome. The Association has spoken to city officials as well as representatives at LADWP.  Furthermore, we are requesting LADWP Managers and Engineers speak to the community to better explain why this continues to happen and what can be done to fix it.

Currently LADWP explains the issues as follows: "Bel Air is a challenging area as most of the circuits are underground and the vaults have aged over the decades. Water intrusion is a common issue and when it rains, as it has been off and on now for more than a week, then outages may occur. The duration and frequency of outages will vary depending on the extent of repairs needed."

Per LADWP, reporting power outages allows LADWP to better locate the failed circuits or equipment. Thus, it is important to report power outages at Report Outage (ladwp.com) or call 1-800-342-5397.

IMPORTANT: Please send an email with any comments or complaints about these power outages to the following addresses.
