More News:  Section 3 (Century City to Westwood) Update: Contract Approved

On May 23, the Metro Board approved a $1.36-billion contract with Tutor Perini/O&G (TPOG) to build stations, track, systems and testing for Section 3 of the Purple Line Extension. The Board previously awarded this contract in February of this year but did a second approval after a key step — the FTA issuing a Letter of No Prejudice — was reached this spring.

TPOG is currently the design-build contractor for Section 2 of the Purple Line Extension Project and will now be responsible for tunneling and building the stations for Sections 2 and 3 to connect the neighborhoods of Beverly Hills, Century City and Westwood.
