Sewer pipeline test alarms residents to call LAFD

On Wednesday, June 6, residents saw what appeared to be smoke coming from mid-hillside between Chantilly Road and Somera Road was in actuality a steam test for a sewer pipeline repair.  LAFD responded swiftly en masse to the site and the situation was quickly resolved.

Residents did the right thing by not hesitating to report the unusual event.  We must remain vigilant as we do live in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone (VHFHSZ).

As always, we are grateful to our LAFD for their swift response.
