CRIME: Attempted mailbox theft on Linda Flora captured on video; photos of 6/23/20 incident on Portofino Place

At approximately 4:30 AM, two women were seen attempting to break into a mailbox on Linda Flora.  They were unsuccessful opening the mailbox but did cause extensive damage.  There have been several reports about crime in Bel-Air that occurs in the early morning hours. Video shows what appears to be two women determined to pry open a secured mailbox:

A similar car was spotted on 6/23/20 in the vicinity of Portofino Place and Stradella Road checking parked cars.  According to Nextdoor, the car was spotted a week prior in the vicinity of Hamner and Nalin.  


Escalade is the victim’s car.

If you are a victim of such activity, DO make a report with LAPD and KEEP the INCIDENT NUMBER.  If will be helpful if you also alert the Bel-Air Association.
