LADWP Sunset Trunk Project: Traffic light timing to be adjusted (temporarily) to alleviate congestion on Sunset

Councilmember Paul Koretz’s office has asked the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) to adjust the timing of a traffic light in an effort to alleviate traffic back-up on Sunset Boulevard. The LADWP Sunset Trunk Line construction began on February 20th and is expected to be completed in August 2021.

The construction has forced Sunset to be reduced to two lanes due to the installation of concrete barriers/railings to protect the work crews.
