SAM ID# A1988220
8 years old, 47 lbs, spayed female
Looking for a pup who's gentle, calm, and affectionate? Meet Sam!
This girl has the looks, the brains, AND the personality — a perfect package!
Sam has great leash manners and often walks on a loose leash. She knows “sit,” is crate-trained, and always takes treats very gently. She’s been on walks with other big dogs, and does best with those who share her calm aura. Sam can be shy around new people, but once she warms up she’s eager for pets and belly rubs. Her easygoing nature makes her a top candidate for families or first-time dog owners! Sam’s a special girl who’s being overlooked because she’s not happy being confined in a kennel. Considering she’s been at the shelter since July 2021, we can’t blame her! Please come meet Sam or share her post.
LIBA ID #A2044242
3 months old, 3 lbs, male
Liba needs a special adopter! This adorable boy hasn’t had the easiest start to life and needs a committed adopter to help him reach his full potential! Liba is very under-socialized with people and at a critical age where this needs to happen. Thankfully, he’s extremely curious and playful, so the shelter is confident he’ll come around quickly in a dedicated home. Liba is constantly amusing himself and draws people in because he’s always seeking attention at the front of his cage. However, until he becomes more socialized, he’s uncomfortable being petted (he’ll hiss, flatten his ears, and swat!) But Liba completely lets his guard down while playing, so that will be the way to build trust and form a bond with this cat with personality. Liba might do well with another young playful cat to help him along (but not required!). The shelter is happy to help with any questions about how to socialize a kitten!
MADAME JEFFERSON ID# A2044002
One year old, 4 lbs, spayed female
A volunteer favorite, Mme Jefferson—named after the street where she was rescued—has slightly splayed front legs, but that doesn't slow her down one bit! When you talk to her, she'll "swim" toward you with her front paws navigating the floor. She gives kisses and gentle nips as well, and needs lots of attention from adult humans. She should probably not be in a household with young children! Although she does not get along with most other rabbits, she might be willing to live with a gentle indoor cat. She's quite an active rabbit, with a dynamic personality. Mme Jefferson has been vaccinated for Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease (annual boosters are now necessary), spayed, microchipped, and litter box trained. She needs plenty of indoor space to be a happy bunny. Come visit with her soon!
